Agriturismo Dominio di Bagnoli

Well Done

Baldassarre Longhena, commissioned by Ludovico Widmann, built Villa Widmann-Borletti in 1656, on the site of a large Benedictine monastery dating from the year 1000.
The sumptuous and elegant Venetian villa of the Count, quickly became a holiday place for nobles and artists such as Carlo Goldoni, who wrote and featured in the theater of the villa some of his famous comedies, playing at times himself.
Of great beauty and historical interest is the garden adorned with 160 sculptures of Greek gods and zodiac signs. Among the most remarkable characters of the Commedia dell'Arte, by Antonio Bonazza (1742), which, within a scene of verzure, represents the moment of greatest decorative expression of the sculptor. Today they revived with an impressive display of son et lumière (by reservation).
