At the farmhouse Il Pozzo there are many sustainable initiatives and proposals for the customers.
It’s possible to follow courses of Tuscan cuisine, of Arezzo, Etruscan; learn how to make pizza and use the wood stove.
Also planned the course of Italian for foreigners.
The farmhouse carries out a project to restore the ancient products: muscatel subbiano wine, an old vine of the territory abandoned by the 50s.
There is also the germplasm bank of the olive: the managers of Il Pozzo are the only ones to make an olive oil (in limited production) with about 35 types of olives.
The company is in the process of organic conversion.
There is a photovoltaic system for the management of the pool and for 2 apartments.
As farmhouse are served only ingredients 100% Tuscan, mostly in the territory of Arezzo, in addition to local products.
The farmhouse Il Pozzo is managed by Ms. Carla Veneri, graduates in business administration and marketing, she knows English, French and Spanish.
The farmhouse is located on a hill, 380m above sea level, 1.5 km from the village Capolona, at locality Il Pozzo (AR).
Il pozzo is a rural village of 4 stone houses with 9 apartments, inside and under the stars’ restaurant, shop/office and mill, swimming pool where each apartment has its own private space, playground, pallaio and table tennis, fitness green area, trail, several areas with hammocks and comfortable couches with atmosphere.
The apartments are:
Timo, Basilico, Menta: 3 apartments with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, living room with fireplace and equipped kitchenette + private outdoor area.
Malva, Verbena: 2 apartments with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, living room with fireplace and equipped kitchenette + private outdoor area.
Nippetella, Melissa: 2 apartments with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, living room with fireplace and equipped kitchenette + private outdoor area.
Salvia: 1 apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, living room with fireplace and well-equipped kitchenette + private outdoor area.
Rosamarino: 1 apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen + private outdoor area.
In each bathroom there are: shower, hairdryer, 3 towels (face, feet, shower), first use kit (toothbrush, soap, shower gel).
In every kitchen: dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, crockery, electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker, etc.
In any outdoor area: a table with chairs and a comfortable lounge area
Restaurant: 3 adjoining rooms connected by old brick arches, with Tuscan tables, each one different, wicker chairs by hand by an artisan of the Casentino Valley.
Living room with fireplace and sofas for common use.
Frantoio: where oil is produced precisely. The olives are pressed immediately in the mill to have a high quality extra virgin olive oil.
Breakfast is continental à la carte with cheese, sausage, eggs, toast with butter and our jams and honey, toasted bread with extra virgin olive oil, coffee, cappuccino, tea, milk and coffee.
The buffet dinner is on request and depending on the season. For the occasion, are served local products.
It consists of: appetizers, crostini, cold cuts of the territory, local mixed cheeses served with jam and honey from "Il Pozzo", quiche, special focaccia, fried or hot soups of vegetables depending on the season.
A first course, a second and side dishes, three kinds of dessert, water, house wine, coffee, vin santo and grappa.
There are also theme nights pizza cooked in a wood oven.
