La Vecchia Concia

Well Done

Children are welcome and if younger than 3, they stay for free. A play corner has been equipped, together with a high chair and a set of colorful tableware for  relaxed and happy meals. People who do not speak Italian should not worry: the owners speak English and French.

Recycling is strictly practiced and our guests receive detailed instruction on how to do it without stress. A part of the breakfast corner is dedicated to tourist information: maps, brochures about places located in the Marches, and information about events is always available. The whole apartment has been renewed based on energy saving rules, with insulating windows, double glass and independent air conditioning of the bedrooms through low consumption heating pumps.

There are special offers for university students, members of police and patients of the low cost dental center of Civitanova.

The B&B has 3 large double rooms, Olimpia, Caterina and Beatrice, which are recently restored and very bright. Beatrice has a wonderful sea view, Caterina and Olimpia face the peaceful backyard. They are all equipped with private bathrooms, hair dryers and independent air conditioning. Usually every food need and peculiarity is respected at the Vecchia Concia. Therefore, those who like fresh-baked products will find homemade fresh sweets with ingredients from local producers. It might be a rich anise sweet, or a fanciful apple and chocolate cake, or a rich peach, strawberry and pear tart … the only limits are the seasons!

Gourmands can discover the most typical products if Marche at their disposal:  a tray with cold cuts and cheese, amongst which the famous Ciauscoli, swee  caciotta,  fresh and spicy  pecorino (sheep cheese). To complete sweets and salty breakfast, a generous cruet full of millefiori honey from the local countryside. Why not to try it even with coffee?

Civitanova Marche is a pleasent example of landscape between mountains and seaside since it is formed by two different centers.  Civitanova Porto, a city on the coast, is the old Cluana; Civitanova Alta, the untouched medieval village is only 6 km from the coast.  The Roman Cluentensis Vicus is located on a hill. There is history within its archeological sites, the still-functioning old port fishery, churches, museums and the Hannibal Caro theatre, a small beautiful area located in the upper part of town. Food lovers will only have the problem of choosing between the chalet located in front of the sea and the restaurants located in the upper part of town. Civitanova Marche has been a Blue Flag (an international eco-label assigned to tourism locations that implement voluntary base principles that improve the sustainable management of a territory) since 2004. The quality of water has never failed a test!  Blue Flag is assigned not only by taking into consideration the quality of water, but also thanks to the quality of life of the territory:  Civitanova Marche is equipped with a large bicycle path alongside the beach. Every Saturday in XX Settembre Square antique trade and artistic handcraft markets are organized.

Every Saturday morning all year round the weekly markets take place downtown where small local producers sell their  products at a reduced price. Km 0 high quality products.
