Castello di Baccaresca

Well Done

The name of the castle comes from “berry” and it was picked to evoke the fruit itself, amongst the most typical in the area of Gubbio.
Baccaresca also owns a farm which represents the biggest high-quality milk producer of the Region.
Together with the universities of Perugia and Camerino on its 660 hectares cereals to feed 200 Bulla and 820 Holstein Friesian cattle are raised.
The castle is surrounded by beautiful woods, a magical place to collect mushrooms and truffles, to discover the rivers that go through it, the two lakes, the old farmsteads and the mill from the XVIII century.
It is also possible to practice outdoor activities such as mountain biking, canoeing, fishing and even milking a cow.

Baccaresca castle is located on Gubbio’s hills in the eastern part of Umbria.
When arriving at the farmhouse from the very beginning guests see the historical value of the castle, with its medieval architectures carefully restored and the walls that open onto an evocative view of the surrounding countryside.
In the woods it is possible to take relaxing walks in close contact with nature. Inside there are large spaces to spend homey moments with others.
The interior was restored to allow guests to experience its ancient atmosphere.
The color and the architecture are those of artistic Umbrian tradition, the old style and the antique trade furniture complete the setting together with pieces of contemporary interior design.
In the peace of the surrounding park, guests will find the church of S. Anna built in the XIV century.
For breakfast sweets – tarts and “ciambellone” (a pie) - with homemade jams are served.
For lunch it is possible to order a menu made of three courses for 18€ and for dinner a menu with three courses for 22€.
